Use the versioned contract for authenticated server-side integrations with formal tickets.

Step-by-step walkthrough
- 01
Open Apps & integrations → Developer API. Read the current contract and create a key with only the required scopes, starting with tickets:read.
- 02
Store the key on your backend. Send it as a Bearer token to the API base URL of your deployment; do not include it in a public widget or browser bundle.

Use ticket UUIDs in resource paths. A permanent RLY reference can help find a ticket, but it is not the resource UUID.
- 04
For writes, read current versions and send the required UUID Idempotency-Key header. Follow the request schema for the specific operation.

Handle current permissions, pagination, conflicts, and rate limits explicitly. An issuing account that loses visibility can make a previously accessible ticket return 404.

API access is subject to workspace entitlement and the issuing account’s current visibility.

Authentication and scope
Use a server-side Bearer key. Keys are limited to 60 requests per minute and retain the issuing account’s current permissions. Internal notes, customer session/network data, and attachments are excluded from this ticket API. Custom-field access requires explicit field scopes.
