How to do it

Open Live visitors in the workspace sidebar. Visitors appear when the widget is loaded and its browsing session connects, even before they start a chat.

Use the visitor alerts icon in the top bar to enable optional alerts in this browser. Alerts appear while the workspace is open and visible; they are not operating-system push notifications.

Select Offer help next to a visitor, edit the message, and send. The invitation appears above the launcher without opening chat or creating a conversation.

For automatic invitations, choose Automatic invitations, open the flow builder in Automation & AI, enable proactive invitation, and set the page-path rule, delay, and message. Save the draft, then Publish flow and confirm Publish now.

Test from a fresh visitor tab on an allowed website. Dismissing or seeing an invitation suppresses later invitations for that widget in the same tab session.

Good to know

Presence means a connected widget, not proof the person is actively reading. Closed or disconnected tabs disappear within about a minute. The directory shows up to 200 connected visitors.

Tracking-disabled embeds do not create a browsing session automatically. A visitor can still appear after starting chat. Website owners should apply their existing consent and tracking choices to the embed.

Manual invitations expire after two minutes and are limited to one attempt per visitor every five minutes. Queued does not mean seen; an open chat, a previous invitation, or a disconnected visitor can prevent display.

The speaker icon inside the visitor chat enables or mutes sound. Browsers may require a click before playing sound. There is no separate Enable sound bar.

The full Live visitors workspace view is available in the standard dashboard. The existing iPhone compatibility workspace remains focused on Overview and Inbox.
